Decorative & Venetian plaster
Serving the Main Line, Chester & Lancaster County, PA
Breathable, chalky, old-world color with soft cloudy depth — limewash brings weathered European character to walls, brick and fireplaces. Applied across the Main Line, Chester County and Lancaster, PA.

Limewash is one of the oldest paints in the world — slaked lime thinned with water and tinted with natural mineral pigment. Brushed on in loose, overlapping layers, it dries to a chalky matte finish with gentle cloudy movement and a depth that flat latex paint cannot imitate. It is the signature look of rustic European farmhouses and, increasingly, of warm modern interiors.
Because it is mineral rather than plastic, limewash is breathable and bonds especially well to porous surfaces like brick, stone and plaster. Over time it develops a soft patina, only getting more beautiful with age.
Limewash transforms dated red brick into a soft, characterful focal point while letting the texture show through.
A breathable, atmospheric alternative to paint that wraps a room in cloudy, tonal warmth.
Traditional limewash protects and beautifies brick and stone exteriors the way it has for centuries.
Yes. On interior walls limewash cures hard and lasts for years; a clear sealer can be added in high-touch areas for extra washability. Its mineral nature means it will not peel the way latex paint can.
Absolutely — brick is the ideal surface for limewash. We can dial the look from a light, whitewashed veil that lets the brick read through to a fuller, more opaque coverage.
Limewash is one of the more affordable decorative finishes, typically $4–$10 per square foot installed depending on surface and number of coats.
Paint is plastic and sits on top of the wall as a uniform film. Limewash is mineral, soaks into porous surfaces, breathes, and creates living, cloudy depth that shifts subtly across the wall.
