Decorative & Venetian plaster
Serving the Main Line, Chester & Lancaster County, PA
Hand-applied Venetian plaster, microcement, Tadelakt and Italian lime finishes for homes that want walls with real depth and craftsmanship. Serving the Main Line, Chester County and Lancaster, PA.

Decorative plaster is the oldest luxury wall finish in the world — and still the most beautiful. Unlike paint, which sits flat on the surface, true plaster is built in thin layers of lime, marble dust and natural mineral pigment, then burnished by hand until the wall develops a depth and movement that photographs never quite capture. The result is a surface that changes through the day as the light moves across it.
At DecoMaster, decorative plaster is all we do. Every wall is troweled on site by a craftsman — not sprayed, not wallpapered, not faux-painted. That is the difference between a finish that looks expensive and one that genuinely is. We work with homeowners, interior designers and builders across the Philadelphia Main Line, Chester County and Lancaster County who want a finish with provenance.
Each finish has its own character, sheen and ideal setting. Not sure which is right for your room? We bring physical samples to every consultation.
Layered mineral finishes catch and scatter light, giving walls a three-dimensional, marble-like glow that flat paint simply cannot reproduce.
Lime and marble cure into a hard, mineral surface that resists scuffs and chips. A properly sealed plaster wall outlasts paint many times over.
Natural lime plaster is breathable and naturally mold-resistant, with little to no VOCs — a genuinely healthier choice than vinyl paint or wallpaper.
A flawless plaster wall is 50% preparation. Our process is deliberate and tidy from the first visit to the final burnish.

Most decorative plaster finishes run between $12 and $30 per square foot installed, depending on the finish, the number of coats and the condition of the wall. Venetian and polished plasters sit at the higher end; Roman clay and lime wash are more accessible. We give a fixed written quote after seeing the space.
For feature walls and rooms where you want a sense of luxury, yes. Plaster gives depth, durability and a hand-made quality paint cannot match, and it lasts far longer. Paint remains the practical choice for budget projects and frequently repainted spaces.
A typical feature wall takes two to three days because each coat must cure before the next. A whole room is usually three to five working days. We give you an exact schedule with your quote.
Absolutely. Tadelakt and sealed microcement are naturally water-resistant and are used in showers, wet rooms and around tubs. We seal them specifically for wet-area use.
