Decorative & Venetian plaster
Serving the Main Line, Chester & Lancaster County, PA
The classic Venetian lime-and-marble plaster — endlessly versatile, from soft matte to satin polish, with the look of natural travertine and limestone. Hand-applied across the Main Line, Chester County and Lancaster, PA.

Marmorino is a traditional Venetian plaster made from slaked lime and crushed marble, used in Italy for over 500 years. It is the versatile heart of the decorative-plaster family: depending on how it is troweled and burnished, Marmorino can range from a soft, stone-like matte to a satin sheen, and can imitate travertine, limestone or polished marble.
Compared with the mirror-like polish of full Venetian plaster, Marmorino typically reads as a little more textured and natural — which is exactly why it works so well across whole rooms, not just accent walls.
A satin-burnished Marmorino wall delivers stone-like luxury with subtle, natural variation.
Its versatility and mid-range cost make it ideal for wrapping entire spaces.
Hotels, boutiques and restaurants use Marmorino for durable, high-end wall surfaces.

Both are lime-and-marble Venetian plasters. “Venetian plaster” usually refers to the highly burnished, glossy, marble-like finish, while Marmorino is the broader, more textured family that can be left matte or taken to a satin sheen. Marmorino tends to suit whole rooms; high-polish Venetian suits dramatic accent walls.
Yes, on walls and with the correct sealer it performs well in bathrooms outside the direct shower spray. For shower interiors we use Tadelakt or microcement.
Marmorino typically runs $12–$25 per square foot installed depending on the sheen and number of coats — excellent value for an authentic Italian lime finish.
Very. It cures into a hard mineral surface that resists knocks and can be cleaned gently. Properly sealed, it lasts for decades.
